Natural Light is a Photographer's Best Friend

Or enemy. . . It all depends on the type of light and where it is coming from. It's not often I'm called to photograph cats other then my own.  The client wanted photos of the kitties just being themselves. This is good, because cats are fickle little beings and very temperamental! They don't like being posed or disturbed during their routines. But I love the little buggers and they are beautiful subjects to photograph.

The home the kitties live in is a big ol' house with big ol' windows that let in lots of good ol' soft light.  When I saw the amount and quality of light they gave the room I knew I didn't have to chase the critters around the place with a softbox or depend on <shudder> on-camera flash!  I simply utilized the softbox the house gave me.
