Beef Wellington [174/366]

Behold! Beef Wellington I had been looking forward to this evening for a long time.

Tonight was the night, Chris S. and his lovely wife, Cindy were to join us in an 8-course meal.

Chris S. and my Chris (Chris C.) haven't seen eachother in quite a few years. So, it was an evening of good times, good eats, and lots of reminiscing.

Chris S. also happens to be one kick-ass professional chef. (Boy, did my eyes light up when I heard about this!) Seeing that we're both Foodies, he and I decided to plan an 8-course meal.

Chris S. made most of the course (thank goodness), but I helped! A few of the delicious courses we had: Amuse Bouche, Herbed Gnudi, Lapsang Souchong Tea-Smoked Duck, Arugula Salad with a walnut oil-maple syrup-soy-ricewine vinaigrette, Lemon Thyme Sorbet, Beef Wellington, and a Poached Pear and Almond Tart.

Here's the Wellington. Not the kind of picture to do it any justice - there wasn't ANY room in the kitchen to set up lights!! But, to be sure, he and I will be doing some collaboratin' in the future!

I'm so going for a run tomorrow. . . . .
