Beatrice, Redux

A handful of you may remember a blog I used to keep when I was in school. It was called "School Daze".

Well, in one of those posts I talked about a spider, we named Beatrice, that lived outside in a doorway. She was beautiful with blue and purple coloring! I lamented I couldn't get a good portrait of her because I did not have macro equipment yet - I had to shoot it from 6' away, which was much, much too far.

Today, I found a spider that reminded me of her . . . but this time I have macro capabilities and know-how.

This little beauty pales in comparison to Beatrice, however, but does her memory justice!

(Hard to believe I used to be afraid of spiders.)
