Prepared a pile of raviolis for dinner. I love making these little pillows of delight.

Above my kitchen counter I have one of those horrid CFL lightbulbs. I don't mind having it. When you manage to find one that lasts for more than a month, they can actually save you a little bit of money.  But they give out such low-quality light I hate photographing anything with it let alone look at myself in the mirror under one. 

So I took my raviolis to my little studio and reproduced the kitchen light, only with a incandescent bulb feel. 

Here's a little trick - instead of using gels to warm up your light, just turn on your strobe's modeling lamp and light your subject that way.
