Happy Birthday, Matt!

The one great thing about people getting older . . . much, oh so much older . . . is that that usually means I get to cook more! Something I love to do . . .  to a point . . . .

But, I do love making pies!

Here I made my future brother-in-law's favorite pie - a Strawberry Rhubarb. Sure, it's very VERY early in the season for this pie . . . . but who cares

Many happy returns, Matt. And may the odds be ever in your favor.

The lighting is all natural. I actually put these pies on the dining room table to cool. Low light from a window, camera left, played nicely on them bring out their textures and tones. The light was a bit weak, so a longer shutter speed was necessary.
